Chrissie joined DreamGroup as an Associate Planner in 2018 and has been taking the event industry by storm since then. With over 20 years of experience in the film and television industry events, Chrissie has an abundance of talents and experience in planning and producing all calibers and styles of events.
In the Spring of 2020, Chrissie partnered as Lead Stylist with DreamGroup Founding Planner, Genève McNally, to startup BridalStyle Vancouver a fabulous bridal fashion + beauty resource and consulting service for the trendy and stylish Vancouver Bride.
From film premieres and industry parties, to private events held at select film festivals including the notorious Cannes & Sundance Film Festivals Chrissie’s planning experiences are vast and filled with awesome stories and colorful people! “I’m never intimidated by high expectations or big ideas! Our best decision during our wedding journey was partnering with Chrissie to plan our dream wedding. Chrissie was an expert through and through. From finding the perfect venue to tear down at the very end, Chrissie guided us with poise and professionalism. We are so glad to have had Chrissie from DreamGroup as our wedding planner. When we started planning our wedding, we were still unsure with Covid restrictions still in place, but Chrissie gave us the best advice to navigate through that and put our minds at ease. We knew we wanted to have an over-the-top extravagant fairytale wedding but did not want any of the stress that came with planning. Chrissie delivered. She really pulled through, took care of us, and made us feel totally calm and collected all the way up to the wedding day. Her expertise in bridal, wedding and event planning really set her apart. She is so professional, knowledgeable, and thoughtful every step of the way. She is always thinking one step ahead and so aware of our tastes, likes, and dislikes. Chrissie Vides is the truth. She is also the best wedding planner on God’s blue green earth. I could write about her kindness, ingenuity, industriousness, adaptability and passion for days if I weren’t worried about your capacity to read about her. She helped us attempt the impossible: a Chinese-Nigerian-Orthodox-Christian two-day celebration in Vancouver with over 160 of our favorite souls (including 30 children!?!) She knocked it clear out of the park and beyond. Our families and friends are still raving about the mind-blowing time they had.
Chrissie’s eye for design and ability to thoughtfully elevate details is, I dare say, incomparable. She patiently went through dozens of iterations with me on our statement pieces and wedding reception designs. At every turn, she had an idea, she had a way to save money and achieve big results. She communicated with more genuine enthusiasm about our wedding than anyone else — that made a huge difference for me: she made the process FEEL exciting and a lot less anxiety-inducing. I will never forget how validated she made us feel as we tried to lock down ideas that worked with our budget. Ultimately, every one of our cultures was honored and everybody felt seen and loved.
Chrissie’s network is unparalleled. She is the best and so she works with the best in town. She didn’t mind offering alternatives to vendors she suggested and helped us dig into talent beyond the 604. Because she is such an OG in this field, she is able to give you a rundown on almost any top vendor in town and give you the SparkNotes on their abilities, reputation and style. This saved us many unnecessary interviews and all our vendors were happy to work together because every vendor was excellent.
On the days of, Chrissie was the first to arrive, the last to leave, never missed a beat and worked herself to the ground. She was our faithful champion in all areas of the wedding production, but more than that, she was exactly what we needed in terms of emotional support at every juncture. It is not an exaggeration to say that she was even more supportive than family members. Everything ran seamlessly and she was, everywhere, running everything and still somehow also by our side. She was like a sister to me, and because we had some core values in common, she truly has become a sister to me in this process.
Oh for a thousand tongues to sing of your talent and dedication, Chrissie. I am beyond thankful that we found each other. Thank you for being our wedding’s guardian angel, mastermind and greatest champion. Thank you for the late nights, early mornings and for how much you pour your gorgeous soul into everything you do. We are still in awe of our wedding day, months later. Chrissie planned and executed the perfect destination wedding weekend, all in eight months. This was no easy feat; limited ferry schedules, even more limited accommodations, rental truck issues, unpredictable weather and an island wide loss of power. All of these hurdles were handled with grace and professionalism. But most importantly, the way Chrissie dealt with these complications left us stress-free and ready to enjoy our perfect wedding day.
From the day we met, we knew that Chrissie would be the one for us! After the tedious job of interviewing wedding planners, we reviewed candidates and posed the question “if you asked each planner to do the same task which one would you not have to follow up with?” unanimously the answer was “Chrissie!”. Additionally, if there was to be a problem on our wedding weekend, we knew that she would handle it without us ever suspecting anything was even wrong in the first place – this in itself is priceless!
Throughout planning, Chrissie kept the process moving forwards with bite sized tasks, weekly hot topics and to-dos. It can be overwhelming at times (our own doing as we had a tight schedule); however, she made the whole experience feel manageable and broke down the decision making into easy step by steps. She understood our vision perfectly, every detail was considered and planned meticulously. Chrissie presented vendors whom she felt fit our style and had already confirmed were available – a big time, and heartbreak, saver. Chrissie took all of our ‘odds and ends’ ideas and made everything come together seamlessly.
We have been receiving nonstop compliments from guests, ranging from how smoothly the day went, to all of the small touches and details in design. Chrissie truly made our dreams come true.
After the nuptials, we were repeatedly asked, is a planner was worth it? Without hesitation we answered, YES!!! Chrissie allowed us to wholly enjoy our day. We were completely immersed in our wedding, going with the flow and soaking it in at every stage, we are eternally grateful for that.
Chrissie, for more than 8 years we had envisioned our wedding day and some how you were able to give us not just a day but an entire weekend that was beyond what we could have ever imagined. We love looking back at our photos and videos to remember these unforgettable moments. Thank you, a million times over, Chrissie!

From the very beginning, Chrissie understood what we were looking for and connected us with the most amazing vendors. She was responsive, informative, and helpful throughout the whole process. She took our vision and turned my parent’s backyard into a gorgeous, enchanted, magical venue. It was beyond my wildest expectations.
The day of the wedding went perfectly. The flowers, decorations, lights, and tent were so beautiful and everything flowed together perfectly. We had a wonderful experience for our September wedding at Grouse mountain. We worked with Chrissie and she was exactly what we were looking for. She was high energy, creative, organized, professional, and fun! Chrissie did a fantastic job recommending vendors that were within budget and style, and kept us organized along the way.
She also did a great job helping us come up with creative ideas for how to make the experience more memorable for guests. Ideas like having a smores pit, bringing in furniture to set up a lounge, and having Polaroids for the guests to take photos with instead of using a photo booth.
Chrissie also did a fantastic job coordinating with all of our vendors throughout the day so we were able to just relax and enjoy the memories without being stressed! After the big day, all of our friends and family commented on how on top of it Chrissie was. And everyone appreciated how she kept the day moving along according to plan, but still ensured that there were fun, organic moments!
