Ain’t no mountain high enough for newlyweds, Breanne and Matias! This couple’s wintery wedding in Whistler, British Columbia was pure wanderlust. Scents of roses and hydrangeas filled both the ceremony and reception venues as guests dined by romantic candlelight. Flowerz blew everyone away with a beyond expectation floral design! The greenery and white and blush florals added a fresh and contemporary flair to the classic color scheme. And for all the dog-lovers out there, take a look at this adorable puppy tuxedo!

From a young age, Breanne dreamt of a winter wedding so she could wear a treasured fur jacket she inherited from her late grandmother.

We chose the February wedding date as a nod to the month of love.

It was the bride’s dream to be married against a snowy winter backdrop and Istken Hall in the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre was the closest thing to being outside. Three gold shelving units anchored the altar while not obstructing the gorgeous sunny winter backdrop. Shout out to the awesome Young Hip & Married who was on hand to make things official!

The reception décor reflected the couple’s desire for a cozy, romantic candle-lit dinner with their closest friends and family. Abundant flowers, greenery, and candles juxtaposed with velvet linens and grey taffeta draperies were woven through the wooden ceiling panels. Three twinkling chandeliers (the bride’s must-have) provided serious sparkle factor. Warm white light boxes placed around the perimeter of the room cast a soft, cozy glow.

The cake was a three-tier “naked design” with vanilla buttercream icing and vintage ivory lace and an abundance of florals. Made with love by the bride’s friend.
