A Modern Summer Wedding

Inspired by a modern summer wedding garden, pastel blue and mauve blooms filled the Fairmont Pacific Rim for Connie and Andrew’s wedding celebration. Seen at both the ceremony and reception, we particularly love the chiffon draped arch that was asymmetrically adorned with lush florals. And there’s just something about the naked cake that makes our hearts sing! As planned with our Bonnie Wong.A

We found Bonnie Wong from DreamGroup Productions after an exhaustive search of Vancouver wedding planners that can meet our specific needs. We’re a NYC based couple and I’m originally from Vancouver and my husband is from Australia. We faced many logistical and cultural challenges.  In order to meet our family’s many demands we knew we needed a full-time wedding planner. Bonnie was the perfect candidate from the very beginning.  She met with my family in Vancouver while I Skyped in and she was clear and concise with her step by step planning guide. She was very patient and understanding with answering all of our questions and reassured us she’ll be there for the entire planning process. We were extremely impressed by her professionalism and knew she was the one for us.

The budget setting and planning process was quite stressful for me and my husband, but Bonnie was very patient, and we Skyped or had phone calls with her as many times as needed in order to plan everything out perfectly. She always made herself available and was always the voice of calm and reason in our conversations. Bonnie found the vendors that most suited our wedding style and budget and we are so happy with the final results.

The wedding day schedule was packed down to the minute and she managed to keep everything on track. Everything went so smoothly on that day and either me, my husband or my family could always find her to answer questions or diffuse a sticky situation for us. She was calm, decisive and managed her team very well; even our guests commented on how well the wedding day unfolded without a hitch.

We would definitely have Bonnie plan our next event. Looking back at the planning process, we were not the easiest clients to deal with our many requests/demands and she went out of her way to ensure everybody was happy. We were sometimes nervous and stressed out during the planning process and especially on the wedding day, but Bonnie always took time out to check in with us.  She shared great advice and wisdom which calmed us down tremendously. Finally, my (bride’s) mom is a notoriously difficult person to please and even she was impressed with Bonnie and I’ve never seen her happier than on my wedding day.  Thank you!
