Dreamy ceilings and decadent florals raised the bar for this beautiful luxury wedding held at the popular Vancouver Convention Centre. DreamGroup planner Bonnie Wong guided Gloria and Saurabh through a detailed plan that brought their vision to life in a most spectacular way! Wedding Colours: Cream, sage, champagne, and a touch of blush.

The ceremony altar was positioned “in the round” to allow more guests to be closer to the bride and groom. There were two 60 foot long custom white aisles that flanked a gorgeous white stage. The ceremony area was fully draped in white velvet bringing a brightness and beautiful airy feel to the space.

Experienced vendors make a huge difference when logistics are tricky and timing is limited. They just know what needs to be done at the right moments to maximize time!.

What was the most successful part of the day?

Without a doubt it was how exquisitely the floral and decor all came together! Everyone, including the clients and guests, was blown away by the efforts and outcome. Truly beautiful!

Gloria and Saurabh are huge fans of the TV show Friends and incorporated classic references from the show into the day’s plan. Jrnl Studio designed white “How you doin?” decals for the signature cocktails and “She’s your lobster” adorned the bar fronts. Modern, clear plexi bars from Social Ingredients filled with white delphiniums, blush roses, and hydrangeas was a highlight!

During cocktail hour, masala chai was served from a charming white cart adorned with overflowing balloon garlands provided by Frankie & Co.

Custom “fun fact” cocktail napkins placed at the bars for that added personalized touch + custom cups with “you’re my cup of tea” were a hit, both from For Your Party.

Modern, elegant, glam ballroom with stunning mountain and water views.

After the ceremony, the space was transformed by the incredible team at Dushan Flowers and Le Marais Decor. The artful installations featured eight chandeliers, multiple floral beds, shimmering crystals and flowing smilax vines. Le Marais Decor built a custom white Sweetheart Table to continue with the modern aesthetic. Floral and greenery arches from the ceremony aisles were repurposed around the sweetheart table and dance floor area for additional impact.

One of the top priorities for Gloria and Saurabh was to make sure guests felt their appreciation for celebrating with them on their special day. Each of the 300 guests received a personalized handwritten thank you note from Gloria and Saurabh placed at each place setting — presented inside a custom sleeve and tied beautifully with white velvet ribbon. It was the first thing guests opened and read as they took their seats for dinner. The sleeve also doubled up as a safe and clean holder for the photobooth prints (anything duel purpose is impressive and thoughtful). It was such a labour of love and a super sweet gesture that everyone talked about!

Wedding Highlights ~ What did you love most Bonnie?

I absolutely loved the ceiling installation by master florist Dushan and team! Later in the night as the light darkened outside, the chandeliers provided a magical ambiance and guests danced the night away lost in the dreaminess of it all! Two lush velvet lounge sets placed near the dance floor provided guests with a lovely spot to enjoy cocktails and take a break between dancing. It was a popular area!

Gloria and Saurabh’s cake was a modern, elegant three-tiered cake with fresh blooms created by the lovely Allie of Rain Bake Shop. They opted for a faux cake with one real middle tier for the cake cutting ceremony since they already had a full dessert bar included in the night’s fare. The middle tier featured the couple’s monogram offering a subtle personal touch.
