Late Spring is such a lovely time of year to be married — a time of new beginnings and beautiful flowers popping up everywhere! It screams time for love! It was on this perfect Spring afternoon in May that Alyssa and Daniel joined their lives in marriage at the charming Hycroft Manor. Hycroft, cleverly tucked away in the residential streets of the Shaughnessy district of Vancouver, continues to be one of the prettiest and most romantic venues at which to tie the knot.

With it being one of the more popular wedding venues of the moment, the DreamGroup Planners find ourselves there often! This past summer it became our home away from home and on this particular day Cayenne Gartside was on hand to lead the celebration and ensure the fairytale plans unfolded as anticipated. What was the theme and overall feeling?

Romance throughout with Lilac, Cream & Gold. The goal was to let the venue’s beauty shine through. There were lots of super cute details weaved into the design including Alyssa and Daniel’s beloved pets!

What were the highlights of this wedding? What did you love Cayenne?

The décor was a highlight for sure! The chosen design played beautifully with Hycroft’s charm. Balconi Florist and Ellssi Events brought the look together in the most perfect way. The other highlight for me was the timeline of the day and how well it all came together. We had a lot to pack in with extensive speeches and lots of photo ops. You know a timeline is fluid when the vendors keep saying how impressed they are with how accurate the timeline is! And the reality is a well timed event plan that allows for all the things to happen in good order and with enough time to enjoy them translates to the bride, groom, family, and guests enjoying the day without feeling rushed or bored.

The perfcet wedding cake (and petit fours) featuring Alyssa and Daniel’s beloved animals was lovingly created by Joyeaux Pastries.

It’s so much fun to witness your couple take in their beautiful day quietly together! It’s often not until that moment that the day feels real and all the time and effort invested comes to life!
