Pretty in Pink at Parq Vancouver
Elisa and Andrew’s wedding at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver was such a perfect balance of pretty and fun. With multiple locations, meaningful cultural moments, a beautifully layered timeline, and a guest experience that flowed from start to finish, this was a day filled with beauty, intention, and a whole lot of joy. The day unfolded with an elegant mix of soft romance, heartfelt family traditions, and high-energy celebration.
From the bride and groom’s “faux first look” surprise to lively door games, a meaningful tea ceremony, a stunning outdoor rooftop garden ceremony, reception games, formalities, and one seriously unforgettable dance floor, every piece of the day had its place. As lovingly supported by DreamGroup planner Sandy Hoong with photos beautifully captured by Beige Weddings.

A Garden-Inspired Ceremony with Blush Details
The design direction under the care of Ruffled Rose Co. was romantic, refined, and beautifully soft. Blush tones and soft whites created the perfect palette for the hotel’s outdoor ceremony setting at Parq. The floral story was especially dreamy, with a focus on blush and pink roses, airy baby’s breath, delicate eucalyptus, and romantic varieties including quicksand, pink mondial, playa blanca, and tibet roses.
The ceremony design was sweet and elegant. A floral circle arch framed the couple beautifully, adding softness and movement against the natural lush greenery of the outdoor setting. Meanwhile, the white aisle, modern seating, floral accents, and pretty parasols created a polished yet welcoming guest experience.
It felt fresh, light, romantic, and perfectly suited to a summer wedding in downtown Vancouver.

A Vendor Team That Made the Day Seamless
For Sandy, one of the biggest highlights was the vendor team. Every wedding is a collective effort, and this one was a perfect example of what happens when experienced professionals come together with care, communication, and a shared goal.
The team at Parq Vancouver was especially exceptional. With the day moving through multiple spaces and a number of guest transitions, the Parq team was always ready to assist, direct, and support wherever needed.
Having Parq’s Event Concierge available throughout the day felt like having multiple extra assistants at Sandy’s fingertips. For a wedding with several formalities, different guest movements, and a full cultural and reception program, that level of venue support was an absolute game-changer.
Meanwhile, Beige Weddings captured the day with a refined eye. From the soft outdoor ceremony with emotional vow moments, elegant reception details, playful portraits, and packed dance floor energy, their photos exuded warmth, polish, and so much feeling.

A Thank You for Sandy…
“Working with Sandy was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process. From the beginning, she made us feel so supported, cared for, and genuinely excited for the big day. As a very indecisive bride, Sandy was such a calming presence throughout the entire process. She helped guide us through every decision with patience and reassurance. Whenever any issues or unexpected stress came up leading up to the wedding, Sandy was always incredibly responsive and quick to step in and help resolve things. Her ability to problem solve while also keeping me calm and grounded made such a huge difference throughout the entire planning process.
On the wedding day itself, everything felt seamless, organized, and fun. We received so many comments from guests saying it was one of the best-managed weddings they’d ever been to, which says so much about Sandy and her team. One thing we especially appreciated was how naturally they blended into the day. They were always there making sure everything stayed on track and handling things behind the scenes, but never in a way that felt intrusive or distracting. In fact, several guests were surprised to learn we even had a planner because everything flowed so effortlessly!
Because of Sandy, we were actually able to relax, be present, and fully enjoy our wedding day with our family and friends. We are so incredibly grateful for all of the hard work, care, and heart she put into making our wedding feel so special. We truly couldn’t have imagined the day without her.”

From Door Games to Tea Ceremony to “I Do”
The day began with joyful anticipation and meaningful cultural traditions. The door games brought a playful energy early in the day, setting the tone for a celebration that was spirited and full of connection.
From there, the tea ceremony created space for family, gratitude, and tradition. These moments are always such a beautiful reminder that a wedding is not only about the couple, but also about the families, their culture, and the communities surrounding them.
Later, Kevin Leung of Vancity Officiant led the ceremony as Elisa and Andrew exchanged vows in front of a lush floral circular arch. With the soft blush and white blooms surrounding them and guests seated in the sunshine, the ceremony felt both elegant and intimate.
And yes, the newlywed kiss was every bit as picture-perfect as you would hope.

The Magic of a Meticulously Crafted Timeline
The most successful part of the wedding day was the seamless execution of every single detail thanks to DreamGroup’s colour-coded, meticulously crafted timeline. It’s our secret weapon for ensuring a seamless day. That may not sound as romantic as roses and candlelight, but this is where the real magic happens!
Because the timeline was so carefully built, every part of the day had room to breathe. The “faux first look” surprise happened as planned. The door games stayed on track. The tea ceremony flowed naturally. The ceremony started beautifully. Guests knew where to go. Reception games and formalities happened when they were meant to. And, most importantly, Elisa and Andrew were not the ones having to think about any of it.
That is the real gift of professional planning. It allows the couple to step into their day instead of managing it from the sidelines.

A Reception Filled With Romance and Personal Touches
Inside the reception, the blush and white palette continued in the prettiest way. Round tables were dressed with soft linens, gold chivari chairs, romantic floral centrepieces, blush napkins, and thoughtful guest favours. The overall feeling was elegant, warm, and personal.
The cake was another sweet design moment, featuring soft vintage-inspired piping, blush bow details, and an adorable “Mr & Mrs” cake topper. It tied beautifully into the room’s design, creating a lovely focal point.
Throughout the reception, there were thoughtful details everywhere — from the guest book filled with handwritten notes to the floral arrangements, place settings, and sweet jars of cookies placed at each seat. Every element felt personal.

A Dance Floor Worth Talking About
Once the official moments wrapped, Elisa and Andrew were free to enjoy the rest of the evening exactly as they should: surrounded by their favourite people, celebrating hard, and soaking up every second.
Guests enjoyed the Photobooth with Signature Weddings & Events and the dance floor? Let’s just say it delivered.
By the end of the night, the celebration had reached the kind of energy where it was heard that even some shirts came off! That is usually a pretty good sign that the dance party was a success. Haha.
Even the next day, out-of-town guests were texting the groom to say it was one of the most well-planned and fun weddings they had ever attended. For us, that is always the best kind of feedback. Beautiful is wonderful. Seamless is essential. But when guests leave saying the wedding was both impeccably planned and ridiculously fun? That is the DreamGroup sweet spot.

Why Professional Wedding Planning Matters
Elisa and Andrew’s wedding is such a perfect example of why handing the day over to a professional planner matters.
There were many moving pieces, from guest direction and cultural traditions to ceremony logistics, reception timing, vendor communication, and formalities. However, with Sandy and the DreamGroup team managing the details, the Elisa and Andrew were afforded the ability to relax and truly enjoy their celebration.
A wedding day moves quickly. The goal is not simply to get through the timeline. The goal is to create enough structure, clarity, and support that the couple can actually feel the day as it is happening.
And this one? It was felt fully.
