It’s Electric at The Vancouver Club
Every so often a couple comes into our lives that exudes style and class in every way possible! Anna & Jordan’s wedding felt like a timeless classic High Society affair with every detail thoughtfully chosen and tastefully implemented. Anna and Jordan wanted their guests to feel special from the moment they walked in the doors of The Vancouver Club. Guests were welcomed with glasses of champagne that also acted as their ceremony escort cards. Such a lovely touch! DreamGroup Planner Brynn Belisle had the pleasure of supporting Anna and Jordan with their wedding It’s Electric at The Vancouver Club!

What was the theme and overall feeling of this wedding?
Love, family & friends. It was really important to Anna and Jordan that their family and friends come to their wedding during “non-wedding” season, have the opportunity to get dressed up, and enjoy an elegant, well-hosted, fun night to remember! Priorities for the day included a classy venue, getting married, and celebrating with a great party! It was a magical night full of fun and entertainment!

It’s Electric at The Vancouver Club ~ “The energy was electric and a great time was definitely had by all! And so many nice people!! Truly one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever been a part of!” ~ Brynn Belisle

The reception was set up at 9 long tables for dinner with white linens and hundreds of white pillar candles in clear cylinder vases. No florals!! Just tons of candles! The effect was stunning! It was exactly what the couple wanted for their “dark & stormy” elegant November wedding.

The couple hired bass player and singer Cory Curtis who brought a really cool vibe to the dinner atmosphere.

Were there any surprises Brynn?
Yes! Anna’s bustle tore during dinner and we had to sew it back together before her first dance! My sewing kit ALWAYS seems to come out of my emergency kit at weddings! Other than that, the day was a smashing success!

After an amazing dinner and lots of heartfelt speeches, the couple thanked their guests and toasted with a shot of Balvenie before heading downstairs to the Bar & Grill for the late night party.
.
.
The late night party did not disappoint! Guests were greeted once again with signature cocktails — Anna’s personal favourite, an espresso martini, and a reprise of the Boulevardier.
.
.
What was the most successful part of the day?
The day went mostly as planned! In fact, we had more time than we needed in the morning for hair & makeup, bridal photos (both guys & girls), first look with the bride & her dad (he loved it!) and the bride & groom. Lots of time for family photos before the ceremony, bridal party, and of the couple around The Vancouver Club. Guests arrived on time and the champagne was a hit! All the thoughtful touches for guests sprinkled throughout the event were noticed. The guests and the couple had an amazing time!
.
.
Following the couple’s first dance, they poured champagne over the tower then shared “bites” of their 2 favourite cakes from Sweet Obsession – rich chocolate cake for her and mango cheesecake for him. Lots of “sweet” moments for this couple!

.
DJ Joel Jasper cranked out awesome song after awesome song and this crowd ROCKED until the very end! What an awesome late night party!
