A Little Boho + A Lot of Chic at Brock House

 In Branding, Media, Weddings

There is something undeniably special about a Brock House wedding. With its waterfront setting, expansive lawn, charming heritage feel, and natural garden surroundings, Brock House has a way of making a wedding feel instantly elevated without ever trying too hard. For DreamGroup Planner Sydney Power, returning to Brock House for Abbie and Adam’s wedding was something she had been looking forward to!  It is the kind of venue that brings a little extra magic to every celebration — and A Little Boho + A Lot of Chic at Brock House was no exception.

Abbie and Adam’s day was warm, stylish, relaxed, and full of personality. Their wedding style leaned bohemian chic, with a strong emphasis on the chic. Think warm earthy tones, romantic garden-inspired florals, thoughtful lounge moments, fresh outdoor dining, and a design that felt organic and inviting.

From the first look beneath the trees to the joyful ceremony by the water, every part of the day had that easy, sun-drenched, West Coast feeling.

A Ceremony Surrounded by Ocean, Mountains & Sky

Abbie and Adam’s ceremony took place outdoors with the quintessential Vancouver backdrop Brock House is known for. With the water behind them, trees overhead, and warm florals placed on rustic wood pillars, the ceremony design felt intimate and organic.

Their personal vows brought so much emotion and ease to the moment. Their officiant was a family friend, which added a heartfelt layer to the ceremony. It felt personal, relaxed, and very true to them.

Fashion, Florals, and Those Dreamy Little Details

Abbie’s lace gown was stunning! The delicate back detail, floral lace, and soft romantic silhouette was a perfect choice for an outdoor garden setting. Her makeup & hair was styled by Faye Smith Agency, creating an elegant but natural bridal feel.

Adam’s suit was another standout moment. The colour was sophisticated, fresh, and perfectly aligned with the earthy, garden-inspired palette. Paired with a neutral tie and boutonniere, it felt both modern + stylish.

The bridal bouquet by Niche Boutique Florals was a stunner accented with creamy whites, warm ochre roses, blush tones, eucalyptus, and textured greenery. It was soft, romantic, with just a touch of wild and free in design!

Garden Lounge and a Beautiful Bar Moment

The outdoor guest experience was thoughtfully designed. A cozy garden lounge created a relaxed space for guests to mingle, sip, laugh, and enjoy the setting. The lounge from Bespoke Decor added that perfect touch of comfort and style.

Bespoke’s white bar also fit seamlessly into the overall aesthetic. Paired with florals, framed signage, and soft natural light, it felt fresh, refined, and photo-ready without taking attention away from the natural beauty of the location.

“Sit Your Butt Down!”

One of the more playful design moments was Abbie and Adam’s seating chart that invited guests to “Sit Your Butt Down!” The cute choice of wording, clean design, and personal photos gave this functional moment some added personality.  Those little touches matter. They tell guests, “This is us,” while also keeping the experience easy and engaging. It was stylish, useful, and fun — a winning combination.

During dinner, guests were surrounded by candlelight, garden florals, and the soft glow of a summer evening. Peake Catering supported the food and beverage experience at Brock House, while the overall flow of the day allowed guests to move naturally from ceremony to cocktails to dinner and dancing.

Warm, Earthy, Bohemian Chic Style

The overall design was inviting, natural, and beautifully intentional. Instead of overwhelming the space, the décor worked with the setting at Brock House, allowing the garden, trees, and water views to do what they do best.

Niche Boutique Florals created romantic floral designs in soft creams, warm caramel tones, muted blush, and fresh greenery. The flowers felt garden-gathered in the most beautiful way, with roses, airy white blooms, delicate textures, and greenery layered into arrangements.

A standout detail was the use of moss and organic textures throughout the tablescape. The centrepieces felt earthy and refined, while the individual fern at each place setting added the sweetest connection to nature. It was a simple touch, but very impactful.

The reception tables were fresh and elegant with crisp white linens, candlelight, personalized menus, glassware, and adorable floral moments that ran beautifully down the tables. The look was polished, but never precious. Exactly the kind of balance we love.

Keeping the Day Flowing Beautifully

As every experienced planner knows, even the most beautiful wedding day needs someone quietly guiding the flow behind the scenes. For Sydney, the day unfolded beautifully overall, with one classic wedding-day moment requiring a little finesse: the speeches ran slightly behind. Oh-Oh!

Rather than letting that delay affect the energy of the evening, Sydney adjusted the timeline with ease. With the right timing shifts, the celebration moved smoothly into the party, and guests were dancing the night away in no time.

Wedding days are live events, and great planning is not about everything being perfect all the time. It is about knowing how to protect the experience when real life happens.

Live Music, DJ Energy, and a Dance Floor to Remember

Music played a big role in creating the atmosphere for Abbie and Adam’s celebration. Musos Entertainment supported the evening with DJ services as well as live music by Greg Neufeld while Buddha Sax brought some added fun and entertainment to the dance floor!

The live guitar moment on the lawn added such a relaxed, elevated feel to the guest experience. Later, the music shifted into full celebration mode, bringing everyone together for the kind of dance floor that offered the perfect ending to this summer celebration.

Why We Love This Brock House Wedding

Abbie and Adam’s wedding was such a beautiful reminder that a wedding does not need to be overdesigned to feel remarkable. With the right setting, thoughtful details, a strong vendor team, and an experienced planner guiding the flow, the day can feel both elevated and relaxed.

This wedding had it all!  A stunning venue, bohemian style, earthy florals, relaxed garden-party energy, and a packed dance floor to end the night.

In true DreamGroup fashion, it was personal, polished, and full of joy — the kind of wedding that feels effortless because so much care went into making it that way.
